Hawaiian Island Hopping! - First stop, the Big Island
This IDC adventure was one for the entire family with many of the younger children present. Our first stop, the Hilton Waikoloa Village, was a child's paradise, being more like a theme park than a hotel. Guests travel the resort aboard mahogany boats that cruise tranquil waterways. Along with the boat rides, the hotel boasts three swimming pools (two featuring waterfalls & slides, one for adults only); snorkeling or kayaking, Dolphin Quest Learning Lagoon.... 8 tennis courts, well you get the picture. Kauai
Your first thought as you land on the island of Kauai is that you have fallen into a third world county. Chickens strut in small front yards along small two lane roads. And then, you start getting a glimpse of the beaches and it is breath-taking.
We stayed in different hotels. Some staying at the Sheraton which had a great day camp for children. Others stayed at the Hyatt. But we all got together for a Catamaran Boat trip around the Napali Coast.
The helicopter rides were not bad either!
